The property has a large fixed dock over the water for entertaining and a floating dock for launching kayaks or getting close to nature. Fully furnished, with a balance of new and antique furniture, multiple large living areas, a fenced yard with patio, furnished screened-in porch, boathouse, and an outdoor shower. The dock is perfect for entertaining, fishing, birdwatching and enjoying the beautiful sunsets. The 10X16 floating dock can be used to moor your boat or launch kayaks. The entire property consists of the main house - Creekside Living - which has 5 bedrooms and 3 baths, and the 2 Bedroom 1 Bath unique apartment - Creekside Captain's Retreat - to offer guests plenty of room to spread out, relax and enjoy the sunsets over the water.
The kitchen in the main house is updated, with granite counters, stainless appliances, a hot and cold Keurig coffee maker, dining table for 8, island seating for 3, and a breakfast table for 4. Behind the kitchen is another large living space which offers a 50in flat-screen TV with surround sound, comfortable lounge seating, queen sleeper sofa, and a wall of windows looking out on the screened-in porch and courtyard. Off of this room is the true master bedroom of the home, offering a king bed, seating, TV, ceiling fan, beautiful views of the courtyard and an attached bath, which is also accessible from the hall. Down the hall from the main entry, you will find two guest bedrooms both furnished with queen beds and another full kitchen and bath. There is an additional king master suite including a door out to a private deck with swing and gated access to the courtyard. The fifth bedroom has a twin bunk bed and a futon, and an attached bath with a walk-in shower and a washer/dryer.
The second home on this property, Creekside Captains Retreat, is a 2 Bedroom, 1 Bath uniquely built apartment, which is set back only 5 feet from Horsepen Creek. This one of a kind home was built to mimic the inside of a ship and offers many special touches from the woodwork to the doors, high ceilings, and decking. The builder of the home was a locally based sea captain who piloted vessels around the world and wanted a tranquil retreat back home. Guests will enjoy the feel of almost floating above the creek while enjoying views of the water, fish, and seabirds.
The property is certainly a hidden gem! Perfect for bird watching, nature, and animal lovers, guests will love the serenity, the sunsets and the views from every angle.
