This one of a kind home was built to mimic the inside of a ship and offers many special touches from the woodwork to the doors, high ceilings, and decking. The builder of the home was a locally based sea captain who piloted vessels around the world and wanted a tranquil retreat back home. Guests will enjoy the feel of almost floating above the creek while enjoying views of the water, fish, and sea birds. A great bonus is the detached screened porch on the ground level right on the waterline. This space is set-up perfectly for relaxation - enjoy drinks, dinner, a good book, all while observing the wildlife enjoying the salt marshes. There is even a gas grill right off the screened porch for cookouts, a fishing platform and a hot/cold outdoor shower.


Creekside Captains Retreat offers a perfect setting for small family vacations or romantic couples getaways on Tybee Island. The main entrance of the home is on the second floor. Guests are welcomed by beautiful oak flooring throughout the living spaces and guest bedroom. The living room includes a sleeper sofa along with a flat-screen TV and great views of the marsh and sunsets. The kitchen is well equipped and includes a dishwasher. There is also a storage room available to place your beach gear and bikes. The bathroom is accessible from both the kitchen and master and offers a walk-in shower with a sauna-like feel as well as an all-in-one washer/dryer. The master features vaulted ceilings and lots of windows that really take advantage of the setting. It is well furnished with a King bed and a flat-screen TV. The guest bedroom offers 2 Twin size beds and TV. The deck overlooking the marsh is accessible from both bedrooms.

PLEASE NOTE: Creekside Captains Retreat is located on the same property as Creekside Livin which is a 5 bedroom, 2 bath home. No amenities are shared by the two properties but Creekside Captains Retreat does directly border their backyard with gated access. Properties can be rented together for those who need additional sleeping space.
